When developing a business idea the first thing you need to identify is who your end-user will be. An end-user profile is made up of six characteristics: demographics, psychographics, proxy products, watering holes, a day in life, and their biggest fears and motivators. Using either an idea from the Self-Reflection for Opportunity Creation exercise or another idea that you’ve had more recently, create an end-user profile by describing each of these six items listed below (see Chapter 6 for a detailed explanation of each); . demographics (e.g., age, location, gender, career) psychographics (0.9. attitudes, values, aspirations, fears) • proxy products (e.g., existing products your user is likely to buy) watering holes (e.g., work conferences, group fitness classes). . a day in the life (eg, a day in the users’ shoes), and their user’s biggest fears and motivators (0.9. priorities, concerns). Start by describing your idea, who the main customer segment is, and what jobs, pains, and gains they face. Then describe each of the above characteristics in narrative form (not bullet points). Your final submission should be 1 to 1.5 pages single-spaced. Make sure to clearly identify each of the six areas above in your submission. Grades will be assigned on the effort and depth of thought contained in the response to each step.
