Junior football and baseball and soccer teams use the logos and names of professional sports teams all across the United States. For example, in Seattle we have a junior football team named the Seattle Junior Seahawks and baseball teams identifying themselves as Mariners or Junior Mariners, and soccer teams that use the name Sounders. Is this a problem? Why or why not?

Based on your reading this week can you find a way that these teams can continue to use the trademarked names of for profit sports franchises? Is there a way that the junior teams could find a way to come close to using the names they have chosen and not violate any intellectual property laws. Why should the professional teams care?
